Releases and Updates (April 2022 to June 2022)

Updated
Celtx releases new features, fixes and improvements approximately twice weekly. Except where features are plan-specific, these updates reach all of our clients once released. There's no need to update your version or download anything. You're automatically updated to the newest and best version of Celtx whenever you log in.


Here you can view our release notes by date. The notes are arranged by the following categories:

  • New Features: A self-explanatory title, under this heading you'll find new features, large and small. 
  • Fixes and Improvements: These include bug fixes, internal issue fixes, and improvements made to help our features perform better or pave the way for future features.
  • Optimization: These include internal optimization fixes to things like load times, storage, etc.
  • Removed: On the rare occasions where we sunset an older feature or function, it will be listed here.
  • Security: Occasional security updates will be listed here.

Every release always includes a number of smaller fixes and changes to improve the Celtx experience for all users. 

If you're interested in a particular feature you can use ctrl/cmd+F to search the page. Remember, you can always submit bugs and suggestions for improvements to our support staff at any time.

Release Notes 2022-04-04

Fixes & Improvements

  • Script Editor: Corrected an issue that would cause the browser to crash on touch screen devices if the menu on the right of the script editor (Palette) was dragged/moved.
  • Script Editor: Fixed an issue where the Index Cards was accessible in scripts created under Files & Media.

  • Sides:  Correct an issue where the links created for sides could not be deleted.

  • Schedule: Improved the Manage End of Days functionality by adding more options.  This will help with managing the schedule.

  • Breakdown: Improved the functionality of the tag item window by adding a cancel button.  

Release Notes 2022-05-18

Fixes & Improvements

  • Catalog: Corrected an issue where the exporting to .csv option was broken.
  • Catalog: Improved the tabbing sequence when entering address information. 
  • Mobile: Android specific: Fixed an issue where scene navigation would sometimes gets stuck and would not allow the moving of a scene.
  • Mobile: Corrected an issue where duplicated episodic projects would only show one episode.

Release Notes 2022-05-27

Fixes & Improvements

  • Online Studio: Improved the Online Studio to improve user experience, especially regarding accessibility.  Made design improvements for language and hover options.

Release Notes 2022-05-30

Fixes & Improvements

  • Project Management: Corrected an issue where clicking the X button when attempting delete a folder would not work.
  • Media Library: Fixed an issue where a large number of images are in the media library would only load the first 10.
  • Script Editor: Fixed an issue where older projects (created pre-2015) would not load.

Release Notes 2022-06-13

Fixes & Improvements

  • Budget: Fixed a print issue where the navigation arrows would appear on the printed copy.
  • Projects Management: Corrected an issue where older Film & TV/Stageplay projects were getting moved to the Legacy Project folder. The Legacy Folder should only contain legacy scripts (Comic, Novel, etc.).
  • Budget: Improved how the cursor behaves in the Budget when clicking into a blank field.
