The most common reason for this is a cache error. Your account will open to a grey screen with a loading icon displaying in the middle, but nothing ever loads.
No worries! Here are some shortcuts which will allow you to do a hard reload of your editor/studio. If your script is stuck loading, simply press the appropriate shortcut from the table below:
Browser |
Windows |
Mac OSX |
Chrome |
Ctrl + Browser Reload Button OR Ctrl + F5 |
Command + Shift + R OR Shift + Browser Reload Button |
Safari |
N/A |
Option + Command + E (requires the enabling of Safari developer tools)
|
Firefox |
Ctrl + Shift + R OR Ctrl + F5 |
Command + Shift + R OR Shift + Browser Reload Button |
If a hard reload doesn't help, there is more troubleshooting you can try:
- If using an Ad Blocker, add an exception for 'celtx.com'.
- Open Celtx in a private/incognito window. This will rule out any other extensions, such as Translation plugins.
- You may also need to clear your cache and close/restart all of your browser instances.
- Try updating your browser. The update option is found under the main browser menu under Help and About.
- If your browser is already updated, try a different browser altogether. Most browsers are compatible with Celtx, the most popular being Chrome, Firefox, Safari and the updated Edge browser.
- Celtx also requires use of 3rd party cookies to function, which may be an option to enable on some browsers.
*Please note, Grammarly is no longer enabled on celtx.com. Incompatibilities between our site and the Grammarly app that were causing loading issues led us to having it be disabled for anyone using our service.
That should do the trick! If you continue to have trouble or if there's anything else we can help with, please don't hesitate to reach out to support@celtx.com.
