Please Note: As of July 21, 2021, users of the Celtx Legacy desktop software will no longer be able to directly access projects stored in their celtx.com account.
Users can still log into their celtx.com accounts via browser to download their legacy projects (.celtx files), until June 21st, 2021. Those files can then be edited locally on their computer, or, uploaded to celtx.com as new project scripts.
Please see the following link for instructions on how to import existing .celtx files: Import a Script
Please check the following for information on how to print or download your scripts from within the online studio: Printing / Downloading
In 2013, development, support, and distribution of the Celtx desktop software (version 2.9.7 and older) was discontinued. However, .celtx files are compatible with the Celtx Online Studio, and can be uploaded to your online account.
In 2019, Apple's OSX "Catalina" update dropped all support for 32-bit applications, including Celtx 2.9.7. Given development has ended on this product Celtx 2.9.7, is completely incompatible with Catalina, nor is it recommended for use on 32-bit operating systems.
