What is a subscription pause?
Pausing your subscription temporarily stops billing for a set period of time. While paused, you and any paid collaborators or team members will only have access to Basic Scriptwriting features. At the end of the pause period, your subscription will automatically resume. You can also choose to resume your subscription at any point while it is paused.
Please note that you cannot change your subscription, including managing collaborators or team members, while your subscription is paused.
How to pause your subscription
On the Plan Management page, scroll down to the Review Your Billing section and click “Cancel”
If you are eligible for subscription pause, you will see the option to cancel or pause your subscription.
From the dropdown, select how long you’d like to pause your subscription for and click “Pause my plan”
Note: If you have a discount on your subscription, it will be removed when you pause your subscription. This means your plan will resume at full price at the end of your pause period.
At the top of your Plan Management page you should now see a notice that your account will be paused at the end of your billing period. You’ll also receive a confirmation email with details of your upcoming pause.
You will have access to your subscription features until the end of your billing period, at which point you (and any paid collaborators or team members) will only have access to Basic Scriptwriting features. You will receive a reminder email 2 weeks prior to the end of your pause period and a confirmation email when your pause ends and billing resumes.
How to cancel an upcoming pause
If your subscription pause hasn’t started yet:
You can cancel an upcoming pause at any point before it begins by clicking “cancel your pause anytime” on the notice at the top of your Plan Management page or from the “Review Your Billing” section.
Click “Cancel Pause” on the confirmation dialogue to cancel your upcoming pause. Your subscription will not be paused and payments will continue as normal. Your billing date will stay the same.
How to unpause your subscription
If your subscription is currently paused:
You can choose to resume your subscription immediately at any point during the pause period. To unpause your subscription, go to your Plan Management page.
Click “Resume your plan now” from the notice at the top of the page, or scroll down to the Review Your Billing section and click “Resume Subscription”.
This will immediately reactivate your plan features for you and any collaborators or team members. Your monthly payments will resume immediately. This means your billing date will change (to the date you unpause) and your default payment method will be charged.
If at anytime you wish to cancel your subscription fully, you can do so by following the usual steps as outlined in this article.
